Lunch Bunch News - Spring Session

next session May 16th

Lunch Bunch is off to a great start! We have volunteers from Shepherd of the Hills Church that come in and read with groups of students.  We are having a blast with the books! Many of the 2nd and 3rd grade students are almost finished with their first book choice.  We will begin by discussing our current books and then choose our second book. I can't tell who's having more fun, the students, or the adult volunteers?  Here are photos from our winter session.

Author Visit with Jamie Knisbeck

Our PLE parent and author, Jamie Knisbeck, stopped in to read her book, Ivy Grace and the Birthday Monster, to all classes. The students really enjoyed the story and had many questions to ask the author.  Here is a short excerpt of her reading the book.

Now Ivy and Bean have to figure out how to get the ghost out of the bathroom. Will they succeed? Maybe. Will they have fun? Of course!
