It's that time of year where I must start reminding students to look for lost and overdue books.

May 30th - ALL BOOKS ARE DUE - Overdue fines for lost books will be issued
June 6th - All overdue fines must be received (in order to participate in West Fest)

Book spine poems are made by stacking books on top of each other and forming a witty, free-verse poem from their titles.

THE SHOES MADE THEIR WAY AROUND THE LIBRARY AND DOWN SEVERAL HALLWAYS!! Thanks to everyone who donated, we received approximately 1000 pairs!

Soles for Souls
The 6th grade is hosting a shoe drive to help the children in Haiti…..take a look at the power point presentation above that explains it all. There are several drop off boxes around the school. In the library, when a pair of shoes are donated, we put up a paper shoe on the wall. We are trying to make the shoes walk around the library at least once!

Six Word Memoirsby 6th grade
6th graders worked on composing six word memoirs in the library several weeks ago. They have now added a visual to their memoir and compiled them in a powerpoint presentation. Take a look at what each one of our insightful, humorous and deep thinkers wrote. |

Love My Library Raffle Contest Winner

For two weeks before Valentine's Day, every book checkout qualified for a raffle ticket.
The Grand Prize Winner received a treat bag with candies and a $25 Barnes and Noble Gift Card.
